This green cover initiative is taken up every year by the Ohriís Group where it engages with social segments and pledges itís support to the community. This year with this initiative Ohriís Group is doing itís bit to cool the globe, purify the air and help maintain the eco balance. It believes that if all the Indians and world citizens take some time out for such activities, it will help not to rectify the rain shower cycle, conserve fresh rainwater, help to feed streams, rivers and lake. These trees will also provide essential shelter and food for birds, insects and animals and put balance in the eco cycle. They will absorb noise and toxic chemicals from the soil and help prevent soil erosion and transform barren wasteland into fertile soil. In a growing city like Hyderabad it is essential to plant trees to reduce heating and induce natural cooling to the houses.
