govt announces Rs 50 lakh cash reward for Saina Nehwal

shuttler Saina Nehwal returned to a rousing reception. she was taken in a
procession on a horse carriage upon her return to Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Kumar Reddy announced Rs.50 lakhs cash incentive to Saina Nehwal for
winning Bronze medal in Olympics.
Chief Minister personally congratulated her as both of them travelled in
the same flight back to Hyderabad from Delhi on 7th Aug 2012.It may be
recalled that Chief Minister announced Rs.50 lakhs to Saina for winning
Indonesian, Thailand and Swiss Opens and to Gagan Narang for winning
Bronze in Olympics.
Chief Minister also informed that a meeting will be conveyed to distribute
these cash incentives. Chief Minister is also contemplating to convene
meeting of eminent personalities for formulating model sports policy.
