Hyderabad, March, 2005: With
the India-Pakistan cricket series already on a roll, cricket fever
has gripped the nation. Adding fizz to that exuberance, India's
leading cellular service provider, Idea Cellular presents an
online cricket update service to its customers of Andhra Pradesh
Circle. The service can be accessed through both SMS and Voice
platform. The entire package by SMS costs only Rs. 49/-. A
customer can send "ALERT" as SMS to 3339 to subscribe to the
package or just dial 777 to listen the scores update "live", at a
special tariff of only Rs. 2.80/min.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pradeep Shrivastava-Circle Head,
Andhra Pradesh said, "Looking at the keen interest that cricket
generates, we want to keep the excitement alive among our
customers. Hence such a service will allow our customers to have
fun and enrich their mobile experience."
Cricket alerts are available from the start till the end of the
Indo Pak series. Idea Cellular will also be offering a similar
service during the One-Day International Series that begins on 2nd
April 2005.
