POWER:
Jegurupadu CCPP.The gas based combined cycle power plant at Jegurupadu is a role model plant that is designed executed and operated with total commitment to maximum energy recovery from fuels, minimum discharges, and environmental impact

GVK Jegurupadu Power Project- Phase I:
This is a 235 MW project set up with an investment of over US$ 280 million. Since commissioning the first combustion turbine on July 4, 1996 and the combined cycle mode on June 20, 1997 Jegurupadu CCPP has already generated and delivered over 6 billion kilowatt units of clean power to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The average plant availability factor from commencement of commercial operations has been above 90%.

GVK Jegurupadu Power Project- Phase II Expansion Project:
The Jegurupadu project is all set for an expansion by about 450 MW. The works on the stage I of the expansion project with a capacity of 225 MW on 100% natural gas are expected to start in April 2001

The other notable power projects of GVK include the GVK Ratlam Power Project at Madhya Pradesh,GVK Goindwal Sahib Power Project (500 MW) at Amritsar which will be Punjab's first Independent power project,GVK Krishnapatnam Power Project (520 MW ),located in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh- GVK will implement this plant with state-of-the-art environment protection systems and aims to make it a Model Coal Power Plant in the Country,Patikari HEP- this 16MW run of the river hydro-electric power plant will be developed in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.

Hospitality:
GVK's foray in the hospitality sector began in the mid 1980s with the construction of the luxury hotel, Krishna Oberoi. And it gathered further momentum with the addition of another luxury hotel, Holiday-Inn Krishna in early 1990s. But the real synergy took place with the strategic alliance with the prestigious Taj group of hotels.

GVK Petrochemicals supply was established as a result of a carefully planned backward integration strategy. Initially GVK Petrochemicals catered to Novopan India's requirement of Amino Resins for the manufacture of pre-laminated particle boards. With technology from M/s FUNDER of Austria, a leader in the field, GVK's manufacturing units had the best of finished products right from inception. The company later began manufacturing a range of thermo setting polymers to meet the requirements of particle board, high pressure laminate and straw board industries.
