Hyderabad, May, 2004:  AirTel Andhra Pradesh has been ranked best cellular provider for Quality of network and service according to the recently announced TRAI survey.

AirTel Andhra scored over other operators on several parameters that measure customer satisfaction with cellular operator’s service in India. Among them, the notable factors are- Faults cleared in 24 hours, accumulated down time of community isolation, call drop rate, percentage connections with good voice quality and billing complaints. AirTel rated best on both objective and subjective quality of service assessment for cellular services, and has been clearly the most preferred choice among customers.

On this occasion Mr. K Srinivas, COO, Bharti Mobile Limited – Andhra Pradesh said, “It has been AirTel’s endeavor to provide a world class mobile experience to all its customers. The recent TRAI-IMRB report rating the AirTel AP to be amongst the best cellular network in the country has come as a source of encouragement to continue with our mission to set new benchmarks both in network quality and customer service.”

AirTel will soon be installing more cell sites to further boost the AirTel network in Andhra Pradesh in the existing areas of operation. Riding on the present 462 strong cell site networks, AirTel is a congestion free network, with unmatched voice clarity and superior call maturity. Installation of these sites is the first in a series of many initiatives planned to further bolster the state-of-the-art AirTel network.

The TRAI-IMRB survey is the most comprehensive survey of the nation’s service providers both in cellular and basic telephony. The objective quality of service assessment study and identifies various factors that measure customer satisfaction with cellular operator’s service in India.
