The first outlet in
the State and Second in the country to have Xerox
DocuColour 6060
Hyderabad, June,
2003: K.G.N Xerox, the city based Total
Digital Document Centre of its kind in Andhra
Pradesh has recently announced the introduction of
newest Xerox Digital Colour Press - The Xerox
DocuColor 6060 Digital Color Press integrated with
Scitex Creo Colour Server CXP 6000, which is a
widely used plotform internationally for
pre-press. Introduced at a cost of rupees two
crore, it is the first of such High Speed Digital
Color Press in the state of Andhra Pradesh and
second in whole of India.
Disclosing this, Mr. Mohd. Akther, Proprietor of
KGN Xerox informed that DocuColor 6060 is
complimentary technology and eliminates the
technical limitations of offset printing. For
instance it can print any number of copies unlike
minimum thousand number required in conventional
offset printing. And that too it prints at an
amazing speed and at low cost.
Corporate customers at a distant city can send
their files by email. Printing will be done and
delivered at their local office in the city. Thus
they can save on transportation or courier of the
same. This will be useful particularly to those
companies who wish to send printed material to
their branch offices located in twin cities.
Similarly it will be useful to overseas corporates
as well.
KGN Xerox is a premium partner of Xerox company
over 15 years.
Making a humble beginning in the year 1988 it was
started as a side business by Mohd Akther, a Civil
Contractor, Builder and Planner. He started small
with a manual machine costing Rs 25,000.
Subsequently KGN Xerox, named after Khaja Garib
Nawaz, a Ajmer Muslim diety, introduced first time
in A.P an Engineering Plan Printer; 5845 totally
automated Xerox machine in 1996, another first in
A.P; A Majestic Colour Xerox, 2nd in A.P in 1995.
These later followed by 8830 DDS(Digital Document
System), A0 size laser plotting machine worth Rs
30 lakh in 1996. This was nationally a first
machine introduced at KGN. Subsequently it
introduced AO Size Multi Color Scanner costing Rs
20 lakh in 1999 ; DC 12 Colour Xerox, a first in
India in 1998. Today it has become a name to
reckon within in Andhra Pradesh. It is the only of
its kind of The Total Digital Document Centre in
Andhra Pradesh.
KGN now has plans to introduce Xerox DocuColor
iGen 3 at a cost of Rs 5 crore by the year 2005.
It is so far the best hi-end machine ever offered
by the Xerox. Once it is introduced , it will be
an another feather in the cap of KGN Xerox.
