Free Trade Zone Coming up in AP

The Andhra Pradesh government is proposing to develop a world class free trade zone with a free Port(FTZFP) on the east coast betwween   Kakinada-Vishakapatnam with active support from the Private sector.

To begin with,a high -level team is being sent to Singapore,HongKong,China and Vietnam to study the functioning of free trade zones(FTZ's) there which have become major hubs for International trading.

The FTZFP are proposed to be developed in 500 to 750 acres, and would become a major hub on the east coast of the country.

The Kakinada-Vishakapatnam region has been identified as the ideal region for the FTZFP because of the availability of dedicated ports and connectivity to hinterlands through national and state road highways ,rail trunk and airports.

As and when it becomes operational the FTZFP will place Andhra Pradesh on the International Business map.
