AP Infrastructure Initiative Fund

Government of Andhra Pradesh has created Andhra Pradesh Infrastructure Initiative Fund as a dedicated corpus fund aimed at meeting the project definition expenses and providing key inputs for the management of the privatization process. This fund shall play a pivotal role in removing the lacunae in the privatization process and thereby help in accelerating private investment in the infrastructure sector. 

Government of Andhra Pradesh released Rs.5.00 crores as seed capital to the AP infrastructure Initiative Fund.

Andhra Pradesh Initiative Fund is to be utilized to identify priorities and define select infrastructure projects for private participation and channelise international expertise into project definition and configuration. It analyses best practices and models to be followed domestically and abroad and advises the Government to actively co-ordinate with the concerned departments in formulating suitable policies and regulations.

M/s Feed Back Ventures and Collaboration Services (P) Limited have been retained for structuring and operationalisation of APIIF. These consultants shall interact with and raise contributions to the corpus fund of about Rs. 50.00 crores from multilateral and domestic financial institutions . They shall suggest a legally acceptable entity to be formed for monitoring the work of APIIF, fund management arrangements and market the concept of APIIF.

Efforts are being made by the consultants for raising the resources to the Corpus fund.
