New PG course for BCA graduates

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is Starting a new master's course for the students who completed Bachelor of Computer Application. The master's course will be different from the present MCA in the sense that it incorporates the latest know-how in the field of computers and information technology. 
The APSCHE is likely to allow about 50 colleges to start the masters programme from next academic year.The new course will be of two years duration with four semesters and includes five theory and two practical tests. The fourth semester is exclusively designed for project work with the respective college managements being allowed to a chose an industry partners to impart on-hands training for the students. 
Currently, 469 colleges are offering the BCA course with an intake of 18,740 students. The first batch of BCA students will pass out by the end of their academic year.

C.B.I.T Bi-decennial Celebrations on 12th August:

                   The executive Alumini Association of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology(C.B.I.T) is organizing the Bi-decennial celebrations of the Institute on 12th August'00 at 3.00 p.m at the campus. The chief guest of the function will be Mr.G.M.C.Balayogi,the Speaker of the Lok  sabha. JNTU organizing 'architectural documentation' Programme:

                  The School of Planning and Architecture ,Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyd is organizing a short term training programme, "architectural  documentation" from August 21st to 30th for architects, civil engineers and those in allied areas. The course contents include conservation, preservation of old architectural significance, preparation of schematics presentation, working drawings, photography its relevance in preservation of architectural symbolism,
aesthetics and its relevance in building character.

 

Badhruka college to start new course in Business Administration in Collaboration with TAFE,South Australia:

                 The Badruka college of commerce is introducing an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration in collaboration with the Technical and further Education Department(TAFE) of South Australia. A memorandum of Understanding was signed with the South Australian  Government to start the diploma course which is equivalent to the Masters in Business administration(MBA) programme. The course which is of three-year duration can be persued by those undergoing graduation and other courses as well.the fee for the course  will be Rs1 lakh. The college has plans to start a Master's degree in International Business in association with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade,New Delhi.

OU to offer course in Forensic science:


The Andhra Pradesh State Forensic Laboratory(APSFSL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Osmania University for offering a professional M.SC  course in Forensic Science with specialization tracks in forensic Physics,Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Biology from this academic year. The course would be of 2-years duration in four semesters with a maximum intake of 24 students. The teaching staff will be from the faculty of Osmania university as well as the senior scientists of APSFSL, CCMB, IICT and NGRI.

 

 

CIEFL announces new  proficiency courses in English :


The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages(CIEFL) will conduct a series of proficiency 
courses in English at three levels. Basic level courses will be conducted from September 4 to the 
end of October for people who have completed the schooling. The focus will be on spoken English
for everyday communication. Intermediate-level course for undergraduates will be conducted from
October 9 to November 3 and advanced level for graduates from September 8 to 29.The syllabus for
the advanced level course comprises English, group discussions, interviews and writing term papers.
All the courses are part-time and classes will be held between 3 to 5 p.m everyday. The course fee
is Rs.1,500.Interested may register their names at the center for Training and Development on the
CIEFL campus.

ECIL signs MoU with University of Hyderabad 


The Public sector Electronics Corporation for India(ECIL) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Hyderabad, the objective of which is to set up among other things a 'center for simulation and modeling'. The center would pursue product design, development and R & D based on new technology and improvement in the existing technology. ECIL would be instituting at five open-ended fellowship for the University of Hyderabad students pursuing their PhD degrees in the areas determined by ECIL. The fellowship to be called 'UOH-ECIL Fellowship' would be Rs.5,000 per month for five years, besides a contingency of Rs.20,000 renewable every year depending on the students progress. Five MTech students and five M.Sc students would  get to do a six months project at ECIL.

IICT launches MS programme


The Indian Institute of Chemical Technology has launched an M.S programme in Chemical Technology in association with the Birla Institute of Technology and Science(BITS) Pilani. The three year programme designed to meet specific human resource development of the premier chemical technology of the country.

 

Badruka College to tie-up with Edinberg Business School for BBA & MBA Courses

The Badruka Institute of Foreign Education is in the process of tie-up with Edinberg Business School for BBA and MBA courses.

The BBA course will be of 12 modules of three years and the MBA will be of nine modules of 2 years with a fast track option. Each module would cost 495 pounds sterling.

OU invites applications for Ph.D registration


The Osmania University has announced the availability of a few seats for Ph.D registration in the faculties of Arts and Sciences.
Candidates who were qualified in the Ph.D eligibility test 2000 and fulfill the other conditions can apply in the prescribed application form with the synopsis and a consent letter of the supervisor between 11 a.m and 4 p.m on or before Dec 30 in the office of the Dean of the faculty concerned.
