India; Hyderabad is Air Arabia’s 43rd global destination, reinforcing its status
as the largest destination network in India of any Middle East-based carrier.

a water cannon salute from the fire-fighters – Panthers – at the rapid exit way.
It docked successfully at Bay No. 56 and took off later at 6.15 am.
The passengers and crew of the inaugural flight were accorded a warm welcome.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) Director, Mr. C Prasanna,
Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Peter Noyce and Chief Commercial Officer Mr.
Viswanath Attaluri were present on the occasion.
The schedule –Air Arabia will fly to Hyderabad daily, departing Sharjah at 0.20
am and arriving at Hyderabad at 5.30 am. Return flights will depart Hyderabad at
6.15 am and arrive in Sharjah at 8.40 am. The A320 aircraft can accommodate 162
passengers.
“Inspite of the downturn, there has been a reasonable growth in international
traffic since RGIA commenced commercial operations on March 23, 2008. This is
partly because the airlines are adding more services from Hyderabad and also
because of the quality of infrastructure, standards of service and cost
competitiveness of the airport. Gulf Air started the trend by introducing daily
flights to and from Bahrain followed by Air India Express introducing daily
flights to and from Dubai. Now, Air Arabia operates daily service to Sharjah.
British Airways is launching flights on Hyderabad-London route in early December
2008. Other international airlines are expected to follow suit,” Mr. Viswanath
said.
"Hyderabad is known for its rich history, culture and architecture representing
its unique character as a meeting point for North and South India. By
introducing timely, efficient and cost-effective travel options for those
visiting this historic city, Air Arabia continues to demonstrate its unmatched
commitment to India, especially on behalf of the significant Indian expatriate
population in the UAE and wider Gulf region, said Mr. Housam Raydan, PR Head,
Air Arabia.
