Hyderabad|India|Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is launching a
week-long Patient Education
Program "Give a little…. Get a lot back" for people with
diabetes across the country from today to March 2nd
2009 in phased manner.
Diabetes lives in most of our Homes and through
the ‘Give a little… Get a lot back’ campaign, ADC
intends to reach into the homes of families
affected by Diabetes. ADC is inviting people with
diabetes and their family members to Give a little
of their time and Get back a lot of information on
Diabetes Management in simple and easily
comprehensible words in local languages. The
campaign is dedicated to the 4 fundamentals of
Diabetes Management namely - food, exercise,
medication and
blood glucose monitoring.
As a special initiative for Children suffering from Diabetes,
ADC will also present their latest Glucose Meters to Juvenile Diabetics
free of cost. Juvenile Diabetics have to call
1800-209-0245 or visit the Chemists with their latest
Blood Sugar Report to
avail the free meters. Patients can also choose to avail an
Exchange Offer for their existing Glucose Meters and Strips which should
be brought to the Chemists for this purpose.
In Hyderabad, people with diabetes and their family members
can visit any of the Chemists on specified dates during the period 15th
to 31st December 2008.
