Hyderabad|India|October'2008: Drishti 08, a two day meet of Ivy League Alumni is just concluded here at IVy League School Campus in city outskirts near Shamirpet. It was held at a picturesque school campus. About 60 Alumni participated in the same. Old students who had passed out from the school since 1993 from all over the country came back to the school for a reunion.

As each batch of students arrived there was a lot of back slapping, cheers and a sense of camaraderie. Drishti- 08 or The Alumni Day is a very special occasion because in a boarding school students develop a special bond as they live together sharing their happiness and feelings. This bonding strengthens over the years even after their schooling.

We have held an alumni meet at the campus in 2006 which was a huge success. And now with two years gap the Alumni meet is held again. The initiative was taken to facilitate a better interaction of the alumni with their alma-mater. The immense response for the event had left a very positive impression upon our minds, inspiring us to make this event a regular feature, thereby providing a platform for the alumni and the students of Ivy League Academy to share their thoughts.

Keeping to the suggestions of some of the discerning alumni, Drishti - 08 was a two day programme- wherein, students stayed overnight in the campus.

The students were constantly in touch when the school called them for a reunion. It was a proud moment for the school as most of these students have achieved great success and are well placed. There were Doctors, Engineers, IT Professionals, Business Men, Lawyers and Politicians.

It was hard to imagine that these students whom you taught have grown up and have a found their place in the world. The students went around the campus to check every nook and corner of the school in which they once played and frolicked. In the evening a meeting was held in the auditorium Mr.Mahavir Golechha the Managing Director welcomed the students and expressed his happiness to have them back in the school.

Mr.Abraham Eapen the Vice Principal spoke about the growth of the school and appraised the alumni of the developments. He was wildly cheered by the students as many a students owed their personal growth to his teaching and advice. After this the students shared the dias narrating their experiences and how happy they are for being with their school mates and back in the school.

Late in the evening a sumptuous dinner was followed by bon fire where the students sang, dance and merried till the wee hours. As this is a 2 day meet most of the students stayed back on campus and left on the next day. Mr.Mahavir Golechha addressed the students once again sharing with them the vision of the school and also giving them the insight into the future plans of the school. Its soon turned into an interactive session where students came forward with their ideas and suggestions and also expressed their expectations from Ivy League and hoped that it will achieve greater heights in the years to come.

The 2 day meet concluded with the election of the office bearers for the next alumni meet - Drishti -2009.
