|The Institute of Aeronautical
Engineering would start five new courses including Computer Science and Information Technology during the year 2001-2002.Courses in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics
& Communications Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Computer & Systems Engineering are also proposed to be added.
The Institute started in December, 2000 in affiliation to JNTU and with the approval of AICTE was the first of its kind in the State and the third in the country with the other two being in Chennai and
Sponsored by the Maruti Educational Society, the institute had a sanctioned intake of 60 students through Eamcet. The fee structure was on par with ordinary engineering courses. The courses were of four years duration and the admissions were made by the State Education, observing all rules of reservation.
The Aeronautical Engineering course content envisaged an integrated approach with the subjects of design, manufacture, Aerospace dynamics and maintenance with airport operations and flight scheduling also in the syllabus.
