A Rocking IDEA; Campus Rock Idols 2004

Hyderabad,August'04: Cheers for the youth and the folks from the colleges of Hyderabad… IDEA, the leading cellular operator of the country brings loads of fun, excitement, music and masti for the college crowd by presenting “Campus Rock Idols 2004”, a unique fun-filled musical festival across the country. Rock your way to fame with the famous bands of the country & the world… A treat for the rock fanatics!

Kicking off the “Campus Rock Idols 2004” event, Mr. Vikram Mehmi, CEO IDEA Cellular Ltd. said, “At IDEA, our association with the youth is as old as our existence. “Campus Rock Idols 2004” kicked off with a three-day roadshow in Hyderabad at various places from 4^th August to 6^th August 2004. Everyday the roadshow will start from Panjagutta and move across the city at various colleges across the city. The final day contest will happen at Durgam Cheruvu on Saturday, 7^th August 2004, to select the best talent from among the various college bands. Winners in the national round that will be held in Mumbai on September 12, 2004, will get a chance to perform LIVE with the next international act that is set to hit India courtesy DNA Networks.

 There will be loads of exciting activities during the roadshow and plenty of opportunities to have fun for the young and the ones who are young at heart. This is also an opportunity for one and all to win and take home great IDEA merchandise and gifts. Some of the highlights of the roadshow & the final day event are:

 To celebrate this national musical event Universal Records and Idea Cellular will launch a special edition album called “Back to Campus”. This special edition will feature legendary bands like Deep Purple, Led Zep, Lynrd Skynrd, Bob Dylan, Doors, Dire Straits, Moody Blues and the like. Tapes and CD’s will be available at all leading music stores.
