Dishnet Dial - New look, enhanced performance

Dishnet Dial, the dial up arm of DishnetDSL-the complete ISP, unveiled its plans to further make inroads for its Dial up segment. Having successfully created a stronghold in the southern part of the country, it is now aiming at strengthening its presence across the country. The new strategy is focused around the theme "It's time to Dishnet Dial". Dishnet Dial introduced its service in 1999 and its current subscriber base stands at over 2.4 Lakhs, ranking it amongst the topmost ISP's in the country.
Dishnet has also constantly increased its purchase of bandwidth and has today emerged as one of the largest purchaser of bandwidth amongst all ISP's. DishnetDSL avails International bandwidth from VSNL in eight places. In addition to this Currently there are four International gateways operational in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
The fast speed offered by Dishnet Dial is attributed to one of the best contention ratios offered in the industry. A universal number 172341 ensures convenience and faster connectivity. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Chairman, DishnetDSL said, "A unique feature of Dishnet Dial is the convenience of a single pack for registration and renewal. National roaming is another feature of Dishnet Dial, which very few others offer".

The aggressive strategy is supported by a colorful new campaign developed by Hindustan Thompson Associates (HTA). It is aimed at the young target audience and young at heart.

DishnetDSL, incorporated in March 1998, commenced its operations from Pune in March 1999 as a national ISP holding category A license, to offer Internet services in more than 200 towns. It has its headquarters in Chennai and offers quality service at affordable prices.

These are all owned and operated by the Dishnet's own staff thereby providing impeccable quality of service.
The SEACN system is a fully protected, self-healing 19,000 Km high capacity undersea ring connecting Chennai, India with Singapore, Guam and Jakarta. The four-fibre pair cable will be capable to carry bandwidth upto 7.68Tbps. The Chennai-Singapore leg of the project is expected to be commissioned by June 2002.
Outside of India, DishnetDSL is also operating out of Singapore and has plans to expand its operations to other Asian countries as well.
