Pramati announces investments from Intel Capital and K1 Ventures

Hyderabad,  August, 2001 : Pramati Technologies (P) Ltd, a provider of enterprise infrastructure software based on Enterprise JavaBeans™ (EJB) and Java™ 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) standards, announced today its second-round financing from Intel Capital and k1 Ventures. This round of funding will be used to expand its international sales and marketing presence. 

Pramati Technologies is an enterprise applications infrastructure company that provides middleware products to build, run and maintain enterprise Java applications. It targets independent software vendors and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with a combination of services such as vendor neutral development tools, different types of licensing and pricing models, technical support, server and platform architecture consulting, and outsource development. The company focuses on solutions based on EJB and J2EE, both of which are platform independent and free customers from vendor-imposed lock-ins. 

"With our focus in research and development and experience in the Java community process, it has helped us deliver EJB 2.0 server technology to the market early," said Jay Pullur, chief executive officer of Pramati Technologies. "This investment from Intel Capital and k1 Ventures will help us make our technology available to a wider market segment".
