TUI inaugurates Sonata’s
Development Center in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, May' 05:
Keith Newman, IT Director for TUI UK, has recently inaugurated Sonata’s
latest development center at Hyderabad. The center is the fourth and the
most modern in Sonata’s portfolio in India. With a total area of 90,000
square feet and five floors, the state-of-the art center will house
approximately 800 IT professionals.
The new facility will house an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) to support
TUI-UK’s IT organization. The new development center will provide Systems
development, migration, quality assurance, testing,maintenance and
enhancement services for TUI’s strategic IT initiatives. This facility has
been designed keeping in mind flexible, scalable and independent operations.
It is equipped with the latest world-class technologies and network
infrastructure for complete IT security; and is capable of operating as
multiple, independent, dedicated offshore centers for multiple clients.
Sonata’s global network of client servicing centers includes three
development centers in Bangalore and nine overseas offices, out of which
five are in the United States and three in Europe.
Inaugurating the new office, Mr. Keith Newman, IT Director for TUI UK said,
“I am very pleased at the rapid scaling up we have seen in our relationship
with Sonata. The second ODC at Hyderabad in a matter of 7 months in a
testimony to this.’’
Announcing the latest expansion plan, Mr. B. Ramaswamy, President and MD,
Sonata Software said,“Our success in establishing the TUI ODC at Bangalore
has resulted in a growing relationship with TUI. The wide range of services
that are being offered and their impact on TUI’s business will be a key
driver for strengthening this relationship further.”
TUI UK is UK’s largest holiday company and employs over 9000 people serving
40 holiday destinations around the world.
