Indian school of business (ISB), a unique collaboration between multi-national corporations, Top Indian business Houses and US Universities has just been established in Hyderabad. The ISB, which is the brain child of Mr.Chandra Babu Naidu is all set to produce world class business leaders not only of India but of the whole of Asia . Infact our CM clinched it for Hyderabad amid stiff competition from Mumbai, Banglore and Chennai-Yet another feather in the cap of Mr.Naidu, whose vision to create a "Knowledge Society" has got off to a flying start here in Hyderabad.

The ISB is to come up at the 250-acre site allotted to it, right adjacent to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) at Gachi Bowli at an estimated outlay of Rs 2000 crore. JL Kellogg Graduate school of Management at North-Western University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania have academic collaboration with the ISB.

 The ISB is proposed to start functioning from June 2001 with three programs-A one year post Graduate programmed in Management (Equivalent to traditional two year MBA programme at the top business schools of the world), Executive education programme, and a Doctoral programme. 

The initial intake is 120 students and is expected to go upto 240 by 2003 and 480 by 2005. The ISB is now in the process of admitting students for its June 2001 post graduate class. While a minimum of two years of work experience is a pre-requisite, candidates with more experience would be given preference.

The emphasis will be on " T-Commerce " (Technology and Commerce) and Entrepreneurship. Initially it will have five permanent faculty(rest visiting). The PG Course fee is expected to be around 5 lakhs to Six lakhs. For more information please visit the the site www.isbindia.org
