About to lose their land, Natha and Budhia turn to a local politician for help. He instead suggests that it would be easier to kill themselves to benefit from a government scheme that supports the family of deceased farmers.

Fuelled by this thought, Natha weighs his options and is bent on killing himself when the media lands at his doorstep for a scoop. Not to be outdone, the local politicians jump on the bandwagon on the eve of elections and try to win the crowd in their favor.

Hats off to Aamir Khan and Anusha Rizvi for bringing out such a beautiful film set in the backdrop of rural India.There have been n number of run of the mill movies but this one is very much hat ke and has commercially brought out the plight of the farmers onto the silver screen with ease & humour.Omkar Das Manikpuri & Raghuveer Yadav excel in their down to earth roles.Nice to see the revival of non-glamourous movies!
