Julia "Pretty
Woman" Roberts is Erin Brockovich who brought a small town to its feet and a huge company on its knees.
Erin is broke with three kids and is at the worst time of her life with no job. To add Mayonnaise to that she is hit and run and is at the receiving end. She stubbornly finds a job in the same lawyer's office where she has lost the hit and run case. No benefits is what her boss says. So Ms.Brockovich , twice divorced lady starts her job life.
As History always chooses a unique person, she happens to find out that in a small CA village called Henkyl there exists a public utility company , P& G, whose wastage is polluting the village water slowly. This is unknown to villagers as they slowly and gradually get nailed by different sort of diseases like all types of Cancer. Erin convinces her boss to fight on this case, to sue P& G for the sake of village.
Unlike the lawyers, Erin, goes to every house in that village and listens (hears) to their problems. All the while she misses her family, her kids, who are looked after her boy friend who confides in her. She gets threatening calls. She fights every kind of obstacle to win 333 $ Million for the village. The company gets 40% of the all the cases they filed. This is a true story.
If you feel offensive four letter words are joking then you gotta watch this movie.
Reachout Rates it good for the lucid and clear presentation and a well laid plot. Wonder how these Hollywood people get such excellent themes. |
