Fiza the most exciting movie of the season has just been released .The excitement all over is  because it is Hrithik Roshan's next after the phenomenal success of 'KNPH' and second because it is the come back movie for Jaya Bachan into commercial cinema after a long gap and last but not the least the excitement is because the movie is  directed by Khalid Mohamed ,film critic turned film Director.

The stage is set in the background of the Bombay riots of 1993. Like several others, the unrest has had an impact on Nishatbi (Jaya Bachchan)'s household. Her son Amaan (Hrithik Roshan) goes missing after the riots and it is upto Amaan's  sister, Fiza (Karisma Kapoor) to trace back the boy. Mohamed draws a touching picture of how the torn mother and daughter live each day with a new hope that Amaan will return. And when Fiza finally finds her brother, her trauma will only multiply — Amaan has joined hands with disruptive forces, and become a terrorist.Amaan then realizes that his own terrorist group plans to kill him as soon as he completes his mission. Hunted by the police, unwanted by his own group, he finds himself in a mental, moral and emotional state of affairs.

The first half manages to keep the viewer’s interest alive. But the second half with the political scenario that is thrust upon the view goes out of track , thereby confusing the viewer.

The Hrithik-hysteria is very evident in the theatres of Hyderabad .His fans for sure will not get disappointed as he has given a commendable performance in this movie. His dancing abilities are not really showcased. Nevertheless this film gives him a lot more scope for histrionics. The Director exploits his expressive eyes .

Karisma Kapoor is back with her career best performance as Fiza . Jaya Bachchan is experienced enough to deliver in the role of mother; and Manoj Bajpai gives a short stunning performance as the leader of the terrorist group.

The cinematography by Santosh Sivan is the highlight of the movie .Not to mention about A.R.Rahaman who has composed one song which is a qawwali. Anu Malik tunes in some fine music.
