Every now
and then there comes a movie which can be totally an average
script with average actors but will go on to make good money
just because of one actor. Hera Pheri is running full
just because of the genius acting of Paresh Rawal. His
sudden jerks with a high sight glasses and the way he
delivered the dialogues were incredible. This man is a genius
who does not stick to fame and image and keep saying the same
dialog.........."Jaani......"
The movie starts
with Shyam, Sunil Shetty trying to fill himself up in his
father's (late) job position. He meets Raju, Akshay (Akki)
Kumar and Babu Rao, Paresh Rawal. The three have same
problem...........to earn money for their respective families
and friends. Akki and Sunil try to pull each others leg
through out the movie. "Gol maal hai bhai sab gol maal
hai". Sunil loses his job which was almost in his pocket.
Thanks to Akki, he helps Tabu. She is a low class lady
who runs her house and takes care of her mentally retarded
mother. The movie has necessary sentimental flashbacks which
were not shown but only told (Phew! Good work by the
director).
Babu Rao, Shyam and Raju get an
excellent opportunity to earn money in big way and they grab
it with both hands and legs. Gulshan Grover kidnaps Kulbhushan
Karbanda's (KK) grand daughter. But Gulshan calls Paresh Rawal
as the number is wrongly displayed in the telephone directory.
The three realise the Golmaal and play a trick to get KK's
grand daughter and also earn money. Ooopar walah de tha hai
tho....
This movie though has Sunil, Akki, Tabu,
Mukesh Khanna , KK and many, only one person has stole the
show and only one person acted as if the rest were just kids.
Paresh Rawal's slang language in Marathi and also in Hindi
were really a treat to watch. Although the script is not that
good, Paresh made a movie out of it. Priya Darshan is
saved. Reachout Rates it
good.
