If a film is as long as
three - hour - 40-minute just imagine the kind of efforts, story
and the kind of things the director has to accommodate into
it to get going for so long. The star cast starts with 'kaun benega
Crorepathy- Amitabh Bachchan, followed Shah Rukh Khan, Jugal
Hansraj, Jimmy Shergill, Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Preeti
Jhangiani, Kim Sharma, blah,blah..

Aditya Chopra's could manage to bring a legend and a reigning superstar together for the first time and
both of them have given their respective best
performance.
The story goes like this. There is a hi-fi Gurukul, whose principal Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan) rules the place with an iron fist. No romancing, no prancing, no Holi or Diwali and all the
discipline in the world is imposed at the Gurukal and so what happens?
Into this 'Gurukul' come students Vicky(Uday Chopra), Sameer (Jugal Hansraj), Karan(Jimmy Shergill) and a music teacher Raj Aryan(Shah Rukh Khan). Raj immediately goes about breaking the rules set by Shanker and obeyed without question for so many
years. Then onwards its Narayan versus Raj Aryan's 'mohabbat'.Again any guesses over who wins in the end?
Even the music (Jatin-Lalit), a vital part of every Yash Chopra film till date, is
a big let down.
Amitabh as stern Narayan Shanker(Amitabh Bachchan), who dresses in the dark of a Christian priest looks great and he has given a
performance which is till date his best ever since he
tried to come back to films .
