Hyderabad|India|October'2011: The 79th Air Force Day was celebrated at Air Force Station, Hakimpet with pride and enthusiasm. On the Air Force Day, on 8th October, a pledge taking ceremony was organised, while Air Commodore DK Awasthi, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Hakimpet has given away certificates of commendations and appreciations to the station based officers and staff. Messages received from President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Defence Minister, Minister of state for Defence and also from Chief of Air Staff and Air Officer Commanding in Chief Training Command were read out in which the Core Values of the IAF ‘Integrity Mission and Excellence’ were emphasised.

The dignitaries appreciated the IAF’s switch over to the state of art technology and its commitment towards the modernisation and enhancement of the combat potentials. The week long celebrations culminated on 8th October, with social evening at Officers’ Mess, in which Army Officers, retired Air Force Officers, Non Combatants (Enrolled), Air Force Civilians and other staff. and Civilians from State Government were invited as guests.
