ADP India brings Cricket fever to its associates
Organizes
an internal tournament with teams comprising of male & female associates

Hyderabad|India|June'2009:
ADP Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of U.S. based Fortune 500
company, Automatic Data Processing, Inc (ADP),organized the finals of its
4 week long ADP Cricket Tournament at Sports Coaching Foundation, Masab
Tank on 21st June.
To create the cricket fever for all its associates, ADP India organized
this tournament which witnessed a very enthusiastic response from the
associates wherein 39 teams participated. The format was very different
from the regular cricket tournaments as here each team had a female
player. To increase the excitement and enjoyment it was mandatory for the
batting side to make the female player bat for the 1st over of the match
which had to be bowled by the female player of the other side.
After the 3 week long league, quarterfinals and semifinal matches where in
teams like Royal Strikers, Gladiators, Spartans, ADP Chargers, Jaguars,
Deccan Cavaliers, etc locked horns with each other, the finals was played
between ADP Chargers & Deccan Cavaliers in the presence of a charged up
crowd which kept on cheering for their favorite teams. Deccan Cavaliers
emerged as the tournament champions by beating ADP Chargers by 3 wickets.
On the occasion Mr.Shakti Sagar, Managing Director, ADP Pvt. Limited, said
“Cricket has always been in the mind and soul of every Indian. As there
have been many T20 tournaments taking place which everybody was watching
and enjoying, we thought of providing an opportunity to our associates to
experience how it feels inside the ground. We are very pleased to see the
enthusiastic response of all the associates”.
ADP India has always been living up to its commitment of being an Employer
of Choice and has been organizing several creative workshops over the
years for the associates and their family’s to create a Home Away from
Home atmosphere. In last few months ADP has organized workshops like
Greeting Card, Self Defense techniques for women, Meditation, Photography,
Theatre to name a few, receiving great response from all the participants.
