Hyderabad|India|July'2011:
Mr. V. Anil Reddy, a leading Technical Advisor
for Plastic industries and the Managing Partner
of Nayastrap Private Limited, is unanimously
elected as President of
Andhra Pradesh Plastics Manufacturers
Association for 2011-2012 at its Andhra Pradesh
Plastics Manufacturers Association held their 43rd
AGM on 23rd July 2011. The new office
bearers unanimously elected for the year
2011-2012.
While addressing the gathering V. Anil Reddy,
President thanked the State Government & GHMC
for considering the request for manufacturing,
sale and usage of carry bags thickness above 40
microns, he also requested citizens not to
accept carry bags below 40 micron thickness. The
manufacturers are supposed to print the name of
the company registration number and thickness of
the carry bag.
APPMA has assured the GHMC and other authorities
that they would strictly adhere to the norms
approved by Government of India. For this APPMA
has constituted a task force for self
monitoring. Also now all the
members of APPMA are strictly following the
above norms. The menace is from the import of
bags of less than 40 microns from other states.
To avoid this we suggest regular monitoring /
raid on traders and manufactures.
Also there may be some processors who might be
exporting carry bags of less than 40 microns,
they should have a valid export order and they
should not sell these bags in
India and there should be no stock of
bags of less than 40 microns in their godown
after they export except the waste which goes
for reprocessing . We appeal to these exporters
to strictly adhere to the above.
APPMA would organize campaigns for the purpose
of awareness among public. Also APPMA exhorts
the public to cultivate the two bin culture one
for the dry waste and one for the wet waste. The
dry waste can be collected by GHMC / NGOs / Rag
Pickers and send it directly for reprocessing.
We also appeal to public not to throw away the
carry bags indiscriminately.
He is a
Chairman of Energy Committee of FAPCCI.
