Brighton signs
MOU for setting up of Rs.2900 Crore Nuclear Power
Equipment Plant in AP

The State Government and M/s Brighton
Equipment Corporation of USA on Wednesday evening signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for setting up of Rs.2900 Crore
Nuclear Power Equipment Plant at Nakkapally Village, Viskhapatnam
district, in the presence of the Chief Minister Mr.N.Kiran Kumar
Reddy here at Secretariat.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed happiness
over the Brighton Company’s quick decision for establishment the
Mega Manufacturing Unit in the State. The Chief Minister has also
assured all cooperation for speedy completion of the Plant from the
State Government. He also informed that the 800 acres land earmarked
for this company is absolutely problem free Government land and
stated that land will also be reserved for establishment of
ancillary units there.
The Officials informed that in all about One lakh personnel will be
provided with employment after the completion of this plant and it
may be completed within 5 years.
This is one of the biggest Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
Manufacturing Project in the State during the recent times. The
State Government assured to provide all infrastructure facilities
like water, power and road connectivity in order to set up the
Project.
Mr.Kitkung, Chairman of the Company said that they have proposed to
convert the manufacturing facility as an SEZ. The goods manufactured
in the Project will not only Marketed in India but also abroad. The
Company has proposed to provide direct employment upto 2,500 skilled
persons, train the local workers and additional support factories
will be needed in the immediate vicinity, altogether will employ
about one lakh persons.
