Hyderabad|India|November'2010:
Every year, Children’s Day celebrations brings smile on the faces of children from all over the country. However, not all kids get a chance to bask in the celebrations of Children’s Day; especially sections of children who hail from underprivileged strata of society often get neglected or ignored. Aditya Park Hyderabad, as part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives came up with a unique idea of organizing an event for underprivileged children such as street kids on Saturday, on the eve of Children’s Day in association with the Hyderabad Council of Human Welfare-AP (HCHW-AP) and Lodge Keys No.297, a unit of Freemasonry.

Rather than offering them a special meal or some such gesture, Aditya Park treated them with a Day of Celebration at their Four Star hotel. Around 30 Street Children of the HCHW-AP took part in revelry, dance, music and games which followed with gifts and a lavish lunch. Clothes were also donated to the street children on the occasion.

The hall reverberated with joy and peals of laughter with children being entertained with dance, music and games. Even Mr. Sanjeev Tiwari, GM - Aditya Hometel and Mr. Pankaj Saxena, GM - Aditya Park danced among the children to melodious songs sung by Vikram and Surya of HCHW’s Home for Street Children. Ahmed and Jeevan showcased their dancing skills and entertainment their home-mates of HCHW. Ten year old Jahangir brought down the house with his jokes and shair shayari - “Dabbe me dabba, dabba me cake; Saare jahaan me, Jahangir Ek” and others.

In addition, a well-known Ghazal singer of Hyderabad, Khan Ali Khan, entertained the children with hit bollywood numbers and light ghazals.
