5th All India DAD Shuttle Badminton Tournament inaugurated

 


Hyderabad|India|July'2009:
Shri D Lahiri, IDAS, Additional Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and Vice Chairman of DASCB, New Delhi inaugurated the 5th All India Defence Accounts Department (DAD) Shuttle Badminton Tournament at Multipurpose Hall of Pay Accounts Office (PAO), AOC in Secunderabad on 21st July.

The tournament is being conducted jointly by Controller of Defence Accounts, (CDA) Secunderabad & CDA (R&D), Hyderabad under the aegis of Defence Accounts Sports Control Board (DASCB) New Delhi.

There are 106 players comprising of 21 women and 85 men from 31 Controllers offices across the country are participating in the four-day knock out tournament began at Railway Recreation Club Indoor Stadium, Secunderabad from 21st of July.


In his inaugural address Shri D Lahiri, pointed out the role played by DASCB in promoting the latent sporting talent of officers and staff of DAD. He further added that sports not only improve health but also improve healthy relations between the employees and organizations.

Earlier, organizing Controllers Shri M Anjaneyulu, IDAS and Shri M A Lincoln, IDAS along with Shri K Niranjan Rao, IDAS, Principal CDA IT & SDC, Secunderabad addressed the gathering.
