Hyderabad|India|October'2010:The 59th Defence Accounts Department (D.A.D) Annual day was celebrated by the organization of Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA), Secunderabad in the premises of Pay Accounts Office, AOC, Secunderabad.

To mark the occasion saplings were planted and cultural activities held with zeal and festivity.

Chief Guest Shri M.A.Lincoln, IDAS, Controller, CDA (R&D) Hyderabad speaking on the occasion highlighted the role of DAD in service to the Defence Services and emphasized the need of updating the knowledge to cope up with present environment in all sectors.

Motivation awards to the staff excelled in various fields, commendation certificates to 150 members of Officers and staff who have served the Department for more than 30 years and Prizes to the winners in various competitions were presented by Chief Guest.

Shri Y.Raja Reddy, IDAS, Additional Controller deliberated on various activities of DAD organization and stressed the need of good management and functional techniques.

The celebrations were commenced with the welcome address of Shri A.Krishna Murthy, IDAS, Deputy Controller and ended with vote of thanks by Shri P.Vijaya Mohan, IDAS, Deputy Controller. The function was attended by all Officers and staff of DAD fraternity in large numbers.
