Air Commodore DK Awasthi takes over command of Air Force Station, Hakimpet
 

Hyderabad|India|May '2011:Air Commodore DK Awasthi Vishisht Seva Medal,took over the command of Air Force Station, Hakimpet from Air Commodore Sanjay Nimesh Vishisht Seva Medal who stands posted to Air Headquarters, New Delhi on higher appointment. Prior to assuming command at Air Force Station – Hakimpet the Air Officer was commanding a premier radar station in the South Western Air Command area.

A graduate alumnus of the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Air Commodore DK Awasthi was Commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force on 06 Dec 1985 and has more than 3300 hours of flying experience on various fighter aircraft in the arsenal of the Indian Air Force. He has served in various field and command assignments over the span of 26 years. For his outstanding contribution in various assignments he was bestowed with the Vishisht Seva Medal by the President of India in 2008.
