Hyderabad|India|April'2009: The change in venue for the IPL will not anyway affect Hyderabadis as they are set to experience the exclusive programming on cricket. Continuing its partnership for the second consecutive season, BIG 92.7 FM Hyderabad has been appointed as the official radio partners for Deccan Chargers. To ensure BIG FM listeners get to be part of all the action happening in South Africa, BIG FM has chalked out a unique wholesome programming mix around IPL.

Taking the listeners interactivity to the next level, there is an aggressive on-air and on-ground plan, which includes a new interstitial called ‘Match Sastry’ - a match maker by profession who talks about cricket, crazy fan of IPL he gives listeners a sneak peak into the gossips and rumors. The on-air contest aptly christened ‘Radio Cricket Game’ will be played on the breakfast show with RJ Shekar, each listener will get three balls to play with Shekar, the winner who scores ten runs will get exclusive Deccan Chargers merchandise. Chilaka Josyam – Predicting the winner every day before the match starts, the chilka (parrot) will come everyday in the break fast show to predict the winner of the match for the day.

Creating excitement and furthering awareness about the games played, an innovative ‘BIG IPL Telugu Class is planned with foreign DC players who will visit studios & interact with localities. Listeners will get a chance to call in and teach them 3 telugu words of their choice The one to remember most words at the end of the hour is the winner and this is sure to create some great aural entertainment for listeners. There will also be other fun stuff like sledging in the local language, BIG DC SLOGAN Contests – A day before the match listeners will be asked to write slogans / wish DC in the most creative manner, the best slogan writers will win free tickets to the next day’s match. As part of the on-ground activation, the BIG bus will have a BIG wish card taking messages of the people on the streets streets, the message card will be sent to the DC players in South Africa.
