Peter. F. Drucker is
doyen of Management and is considered a founding father of management. To
commemorate his services to the modern management theories and to pay
tribute to this visionary, premier B-School of Hyderabad, Vignana Jyothi
Institute of Management (VJIM) organised the 2nd Peter F Drucker Memorial
All India Debate Competition 2012.
Forty teams from several colleges across the country participated in the
event. Four rounds were conducted as part of the competition. The First
prize of Rs 20,000.00 was won by Soumya and Ravi from Bhavan’s Vivekananda
college, Hyderabad, while Jaspreet Singh and Raghunandan Gunnaa from
Pendekanti Law College, Hyderabad were the first runner-up winning
Rs.15,000.00 as the cash prize. The team from VJIM, comprising Rahul and
Ashithawere the second runners-up winning Rs.10,000.00 cash prize.
Dr. D.N.Rao, General Secretary and Mr. K.Harish Chandra Prasad, Joint
Secretary, Vignana Jyothi Society attended the event. “The initiative
taken by institute has been actually organized by the students themselves.
Faculty members were present always to support them but we wanted them to
do it themselves as our approach is towards holistic development and
growth of a student”, said Prof. Durga Prasad, Dean VJIM.

inception in 1992. Due to this association VJIM enjoys a high level of
industry academia relationship which not only helps the students in their
