GHAC Team Starts
for Mt.Everest Base Camp
Hyderabad|India|April'2011: Twelve GHAC
adventurers from Hyderabad city were flagged off
on April 28 as they get set to
leave Hyderabad on a trek to the Everest Base Camp
and Summit the Kalapathar Peak from 1 May to 13
May 2011.
The 13 day trek starts at Lukla 2866 meters to
Everest Base Camp 5364 meters includes a scenic
flight into Lukla, the Sherpa home town,
monasteries. The spot also has an amazing view of
Mt. Everest, distance views of Lhotse, Nuptse,
Amadablam, Thamserku peaks, views of Khumbu
Icefall, Everest Base Camp and the Kalapathar
Peak. This is the 5th trek of GHAC to the Everest
Base Camp, which is considered one of the top 10
challenging treks by Lonely Planet publication.
The GHAC EBC Team is led by Ali Razvi and includes
Inderpreet Singh, Mrs.Nathalia Rodriguez, Ranjan
Sood, Mrs.Manisha, Ms.Priyanka Singh, Narasimha
Reddy, Gaurav Duggal, Ms.Tanveer Fatma, Sanjeev
Reddy, Vaibhav Patil and Mr.Sunil Kumar. The EBC
trek team members are all active members of GHAC
and professionally placed in Hyderabad City. The
GHAC members held a flag-off ceremony which
included a Cake Cutting ceremony for the team and
presented them with Good Luck Banner and Cards.
The EBC Trek Team were also presented with GHAC
EBC team T-shirts and caps, along with our
National Flag.
Over the last 60 days, the EBC GHAC team members
have had strenuous training is order to equip
themselves physically and mentally. Apart from
undertaking physical exercise to train their body
for endurance, they also took the help of yoga to
improve their mental strength. The EBC trek is a
High Altitude trek and requires a trained body and
strong mind.
