first Product in Household Insecticide category to Win "Product of the
Year 2009 Award"

GoodKnight Advanced Activ+ System the latest Innovation from Godrej Sara
Lee has been voted the "Product of the Year 2009" within less than a year
of its launch. With this, the brand now joins a group of prestigious
international brands that have won this honor.
Product of the Year is one of the most coveted consumer recognitions that
rewards the most innovative product in each category. As a proven global
concept in more than 26 countries over the last 20 years, the award is
consumer-centric and based on an independent consumer survey of 40,000
consumers across the country. In India we have extended its scope to cover
mobiles, electronics, durables, appliances and debit and credit cards.
The jury comprises industry leaders and experts. The eligible products are
first validated by the jury and voted for by consumers, who finally
determine the ultimate winners. The consumer survey is the largest of its
kind in India, with 40,000 people voting for the product of the year.
Consumers select only one winner in each category and Goodknight Advanced
Activ+ System has been the First Product to Win this award in the Indian
household insecticide category.
Over the years Godej Sara Lee has championed the fight against the
mosquito menace by constantly creating new and innovative products.
Commenting on the occasion Mr. Tarun Arora, VP Marketing, Godrej Sara Lee

advanced GoodKnight Activ+ System to address the consumer need for Varying
Mosquito Infestation. GoodKnight Activ+ System has a dual mode of
operation - Normal mode for normal mosquito infestation and Activ+ mode to
take care of heavy mosquito infestation". He added "It makes us proud to
state that GoodKnight Activ+ System is the first Product to win this award
in the Indian household insecticide category".
The product’s success is evidenced by the fact that its sales crossed 3.3
Mn units within first two years of its launch. It’s success has also gone
beyond geographic borders with launches in Spain under the project Euro
Booster [ Brand Cruz+Verde] and planned launches across other European
countries & Russia in the coming year.
Household Insecticide Market: India is one of the leading mosquito
repellents markets after China. The Indian Household Insecticide market is
worth Rs 1700 crores . It is led by Godrej Sara Lee with a Market Share of
36% (Market share Source: ACNielsen, Dec’08).
