HYSEA to participate in the NASSCOM Product
Conclave & Expo 2009
Hyderabad|India|October'2009: Hyderabad Software Exporters
Association (HYSEA) along with some of its member companies are
participating in the 2 day NASSCOM Product Conclave starting at The
Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. HYSEA is joined by a delegation from Andhra
Pradesh; consisting of 8 startup product companies from the state to
showcase the intense product development and IP creation activities
underway at Hyderabad and elsewhere in the state.
HYSEA is participating in the conclave in collaboration with the
Government of Andhra Pradesh to highlight the large number of
product companies in Hyderabad and actively promote AP as an ideal
location for software product companies- both domestic and
multi-national. The movement in AP is now also accelerated by the
spurt in new startups mushrooming in the incubation centers in the
universities like IIIT-H and also independently, encouraged by the
abundant talent pool, lower cost model and access to research
institutions and other product companies.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Narsimha Rao, President HYSEA said,
“In Hyderabad, the software products space has seen increased
activity in the past few years- in part fuelled by the presence of a
large number of MNC software majors including Microsoft, Oracle, CA,
Baan, Cordys, IBM and many more. This is a great opportunity for us
to highlight the product capabilities and innovation done by various
companies and startups here in AP at a national platform and we
would like to thank the Government of AP for their immense support
in this initiative.”
HYSEA has already initiated a new wave of growth in the AP Software
industry, targeting IP, Innovation and Software product companies by
launching a directory, listing about 250 companies in Hyderabad that
are already engaged in building Software Products.
The state has distinctive strengths in the combination of the
industry presence, research institutions, large talent pool, highly
motivated innovators, good support, mentoring eco-system and more
such enablers which fuel the growth of Software Product Development
here. The NASSCOM Conclave is an opportunity and platform that will
help draw the attention of all the stake holders to this aspect of
the industry in AP and seek investments from MNC Product companies
to setup captive R&D units, India sales operations as well as will
encourage Domestic ISVs to start development centers in Hyderabad
and most importantly will attract new startups.
