GMR Hyderabad Airport to host Shopping Festival
from 19th Sept to 24th Oct
Hyderabad|India|September'2009: With the advent of the festive
season, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd., will be organizing the
‘Airport Festive Shopping Carnival’ at the Rajiv Gandhi International
Airport from 19th September, 2009 to 24th October, 2009.The sponsors of
this festival include Courtyard Marriott Hotel and Jet Airways, along with
all the retail and food and beverage outlets in the premises.
Elaborating on the event, Mr.P.Sripathy, CEO of GHIAL said, “A host of
special offers from the retailers and food and beverage outlets in the
airport will be made available. All the fliers, visitors and even members
of the airport community who spend a minimum of Rs. 300 or more at any of
these outlets located in the Passenger Terminal Building, will be entitled
to a lucky draw coupon that will enable them to enter a weekly as well as
the grand lucky draw contest, and win exciting prizes”.
Guests flying Jet Airways will be entitled to special additional discounts
at all these outlets, except the Landmark, on production of their boarding
passes during the shopping festival.
The weekly prizes include a night stay for a couple, inclusive of
breakfast, at the Novotel Hyderabad Airport, and also complimentary passes
for the A.R. Rahman Live Concert, ‘Jai Ho’, which is being held at the GMR
Arena behind Novotel Hyderabad Airport on Saturday, 24th October, 2009.
The Grand Prizes for the draw will be announced on stage during the Jai Ho
concert, and these will include return tickets to Singapore and Dubai
courtesy Jet Airways, and a five star hotel stay in Singapore through
Courtyard Marriott.
To add to the excitement and fun, the month long celebrations will feature
every weekend, live music and traditional Indian dances; mehendi artists
who will move around in the domestic departures, a caricature artist, etc.

for the fliers, their visitors, and also the airport community, the
shopping carnival will help us promote and popularize the retail and food
