Most appreciated collection at Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2010

Hyderabad|India|June'2010: For the first time, the most appreciated
collection of the Gennext Category of Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort
2010 - “No Class” is displayed on Thursday at the Inter National Institute
of Fashion Design (INIFD) Hyderabad. The budding fashion designer sported
the designer outfits and posed for pics.
This collection was displayed alongwith the top designers like Manisha
Malhotra, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Rocky S, Vikram Phadnis, Suneet Verma in a
Lakme Fashion Week 2010 in March in Mumbai informed Mr. Sanjay Sarawat
Center Director of INIFD, Hyderabad. INIFD always takes steps to promote
the young design talent and as a official Knowledge Partner to Lakme
Fashion Wee, we have made the dream come true for many of our students, he
said.
Sabah Khan, star desginer was in city to share her Lakme Fashion Week
experience with budding desingers studying fashion designing at INIFD in
Hyderabad said, I believe that fashion comes out of the most unpredictable
places.
Sabah Khan was one amongst the three selected from over 100 centres of
INIFD across India. She has been inspired by the slums of Dharavi, Asia’s
biggest slum in Mumbai.. “People in slums use patches on their clothes.
She has tried to capture that essence through her designs. She is also a
stylist.
The designer collection - No Class by INIFD student designer Sabah Khan
was displayed by the tope models of the national and international fame
like Candice Pinto, Monique Strydom, Fiona Melissa Thomas, Kanistha
Dhankhar, Lisa Haydon, Jyothsna Chakravarthy, Hemangi Pate and many more
at the India’s biggest platform Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2010 at
Hotel Grand Hyatt Mumbai.
The perfect blend of colour, culture, traditions, economic dominance,
colour shcemes, digital prints incorporated; reflect the charm, joy and
energy of a city within the city of Mumbai. The fabric used in this
collection are linens, cottons and mulls which work great with the Indian
Summer. The cuts and silhouettes are varying as it is a key--piece
collection. It is definitely a mix and match of vibrant brights teamed
with earthy neutrals.
INIFD has been spreading Fashion education to masses by opening centres
from metros to small towns which are about 180 in the country.
