Deccan Chargers storms into IPL Finals

Hyderabad|India|May'2009: Chasing a target of 153, Chargers were led from the front by their skipper making peanuts of the target to reach the final of the IPL.Gilchrist was on fire right from the beginning smashing 5 fours in the first over of the game from Dirk Nannes.

Runs just flowed on and on for the Unstoppables. Gilchrist completed his 50 off 17, the fastest in IPL history.

The fall of Azhar Bilakhia did not stop the onslaught from Gilchrist. Gilchrist was out at a stage when his team needed less than 5.5 runs per over.

After the dismissal of Gilchrist for 85 Andrew Symonds maintained the momentum by hitting 24 off 15 balls. Gilchrist 85 came off  in just 35 balls containing 10 4's and 5 6's.It was a cracker of an inning from the skipper to storming his team into the finals.

T. Suman played the balancing role to perfection. Suman has indeed been a find
for Deccan chargers this season.
