ITsAP organizes an interactive session with Philippines Ambassador for
the industry

ITsAP (The IT & ITES Industry Association of AP) organized an
interactive business meeting with ambassador of Philippines, Mr. Ronald B.
Allarey and Commercial Attaché, Office of the Commercial Attaché,
Philippine Embassy, Mr. Vichael Angelo D. Roaring and Counsel Mr. Robert
Ferrer at TCS Deccan Park, Hitec City. Keeping in view the growing level
of engagement between the two countries in the field of Information
Technology Enabled Services, the meeting explored how Philippines and
India could complement each other and help further the growth of this
sector in their respective countries.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Roland B. Allarey, ambassador of Philippines
said ‘India and Philippines had strong Commitment to promote cooperation
and reinforce joint activities like research, policy and advocacy, joint
promotions’. In the context of the strengthening relations between the
Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), he said ‘the free trade
agreement has already been signed and the agreement on services and
investments are being negotiated’.
Mr. Vichael Angelo D. Roaring, Commercial Attaché, Office of the
Commercial Attaché, Philippine Embassy made a presentation highlighting
the various investment initiatives of Government of Philippines and the
Strategic Business Location, Quality Talent Resource Pool, Reliable
Infrastructure Support and Hospitable Lifestyle the country has to offer
for businesses to flourish.
Mr. Gopi Krishna, Special Secretary, IT&C Department, Government of AP,
speaking on the occasion said, “We look forward to working closely with
the Government of Philippines and also look forward to increased business
investments from Philippine companies in AP”.
Mr. L. Suresh, President, ITsAP, Mr. V. Rajanna, Vice President, ITsAP,
Mr. Bipin Pendyala, Secretary, ITsAP, and Brig. K. Harikumar, Executive
Director, ITsAP were also present on the occasion.
