'JAIL' Cast and Crew comes to Hyderabad on a promotion drive

Hyderabad|India|November'2009: Percept Picture Company and Bhandarkar Entertainment in association with Mirah Entertainment, Sanjay Ghodawat Group & Maxwell Entertainment are all set to release their film ‘JAIL’ on 6th of November, 2009. Directed by Three Times National Award Winner, Madhur Bhandarkar, JAIL casts Neil Nitin Mukesh & Mugdha Godse in the lead roles. Manoj Bajpai also plays a pivotal role in the film. Director Madhur Bhandarkar and Lead cast Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse visited Hyderabad recently for the promotion of the movie ‘Jail’.

Addressing media at Prasad’s IMAX Madhur Bhandarkar said, “I think JAIL is the most challenging film of my career till date. We had to do extensive research as even a single mistake despite of the cinematic liberties, could have cost us a lot. Neil has worked really hard in the film. Mugdha has done some outstanding work and Manoj as always is fabulous to watch acting on screen. JAIL ends on a positive note and I would recommend watching it to everyone.” Speaking about his kind of cinema, Madhur also added “My movies are not exposive, maybe they just hold up a mirror at our society. My movies are not judgmental, I just try and highlight what happens in our society, sometimes there could be a solution and sometimes there may not be one.”

Neil Nitin Mukesh talked about his experience of working with Madhur Bhandarkar and also commented on his role saying, “Jail is a very important film in my career. I have worked very hard & have taken lot of pain to complete this film. So am just crossing my fingers and now trying to entertain myself whole heartedly. Madhur Sir is one of the finest directors we have in the industry today. He has done it in the past with commercial, as well as critical successes like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Traffic Signal, Corporate & ofcourse Fashion. I hope JAIL too touches the pinnacle of success further.” Even Neil Nitin Mukesh has lent his voice to a song in the film. The music in the film is by Shamir Tandon & The Duo Sharib-Toshi. The music of JAIL is on T-Series.

The story of Jail revolves around the Protagonist Parag Dixit (Neil Nitin Mukesh) who was the King of his own World… A great job, a lovely house, a lovelier girlfriend Maansi (Mugdha Godse)... a night out with friends at some suburban watering hole after a hard day’s job... life just couldn’t get better for him. And all of a sudden he finds himself inside the four walls of a prison thanks to a series of unfortunate events around him. The whole film is from his point of view and tells the stories of several other inmates of the prison. Some of these are under trials, convicts and also the cops who are in charge of maintaining the order in the prison. Jail gives a ringside view of the world that exists inside the walls of the prison spread across our country.
