Hyderabad|India|December'2009: Pratibimb 2009, the prestigious reunion meet of past students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Picket, Secunderabad is to be held on December 26, 2009. The programme is initiated by K.V. Picket Alumni Network. According to Mr. Praveen Mohan Gupta, Chief Coordinator, Pratibimb 2009 will be held at New Block of K.V. Picket (opposite Secunderabad Club) at 3 PM. The biennial school Alumni meet programme includes interaction with teachers and talks by old teachers and former students. Later in the evening, an informal function has been arranged at Raja Rajeswari Gardens , Sikh Road , Secunderabad. The alumni network is coming up with a souvenir comprising the contact details of all the registered Picketians.

K.V. Picket Alumni Association is taking up construction of a memorial for the great sons of soil from Indian Defense Services (Passed out of KV Picket), who have laid down their lives during war/operations. This memorial will be within the school premises. Some of the war heroes from K V Picket include: Late Capt. Suneel Yadav (1993 - 12th); Late Maj. Sunil Ganapathy (1994 - 12th); Late Maj. Suresh Suri (1997 - 12th). The idea behind this memorial is to recognize these brave men, who not only have laid down their lives for the country and its people, but also stood as inspiration to all those who want the serve the nation by joining Indian Defense Services in future.

Past students can register themselves for the meet by sending an email to picketian@gmail.com with basic information such as full name, year of exit and class of exit besides the contact details. They can also register / Donate online for Pratibimb 2009 and the war memorial at www.picketian.com.

The K.V. Picket Alumni Network has over 1000 registered members that includes those who passed out way back in 1968 to those who passed out as recently as in March 2009. The reunion meet also offers a rare platform where past students dating back to 40 years can come face to face with the class of 2009.
