Longines eyeing Indian market, plans to expand
its reach

brand in the world is eyeing on Indian market, disclsoed Mr. Claude Jaunin,
Regional Sales Manager Asia Pacific, Longines addressing a select media
gathering here in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Mr. Claude Jaunin, who was in city in conncetion with the on going World
Badminton
Championship 2009 said that they plan to increase the visibility of the
brand in the country.
And plans to make it available in over 200 outlets across India. Longines
already has four
outlets in India and plans to set up two more outlets, he informed. If
government allows, we will set up more outlets, he said.
Adding further he stated that Longines is planning to launch special
womens watch in
November. Longines established in 1832 in Switzerland has produced 37
million watches in 175 years of service of precision and elegance of time.
Speaking about world watch market he said though Switzerland is a tiny
county, but it boasts of 60% market share in terms of value of world
market.
Longines has been invovled for many years in sports of elegance, precision
and tradition
such as Equestrian, Gymnastics, Alpine Skiinh snf more recently Tennis,
Short Track and
Archery and now Badminton, Claude Jaunin informed.
During this ongoing World Badminton Championship 2009, Longines also
launched Master
Collection Moon Phase model, a magnificent example of the know how of
Longines design
team. It is the World Badminton Championship 2009 official watch. It has
two seperate
watches for men and women starting from 1,38, 000 to 2,67,000.
