Convocation Ceremony held at MCEME
Hyderabad|India|June'2009: The Convocation Ceremony
of the 85th Degree Engineering Course and the 11th Technical Entry Scheme
Course (B. Tech Programme), conducted by the .Military College of
Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), was held at MCEME
Auditorium in Secunderabad on 26th June.
Professor DP Agrawal, Chairman, Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi
graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He conferred the Degrees and
presented awards to the young Engineering graduates of the Corps of
Electronics & Mechanical Engineers (EME), and other Arms and Services. Lt.
Gen I J Singh, Commandant MCEME and Colonel Commandant Corps of EME,
welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
A total of 39 officers graduated with the 85th Degree Engineering Course
and 30 officers graduated with the 11th Technical Entry Scheme Course and
were awarded Bachelor of Technology Degree from the Jawaharlal Nehru
University, New Delhi. Besides the B Tech parchments, awards were
conferred on the outstanding officers by the Chief Guest.
Prof D P Agrawal, in his Convocation Address, commended the academic
standards achieved by the graduating officers and extended heartiest
greetings and felicitations to them. He exhorted the graduating officers
to meet the technological challenges which lay ahead, wherein they would
be called upon to channelise the technical know how so gained to perceive,
organise and supervise the provisioning of engineering support to the wide
range of Army equipment.
After the Convocation Ceremony, demonstration on the projects was given by
the graduating officers, which was highly appreciated for highest
technological standards and excellence in execution.
