into
African markets
Hyderabad|India|February'2010: Netxcell Ltd, the pioneers in
providing Telecom Application Services has announced its entry into the
African market with opening of its operations in 7 East African countries.
Netxcell has partnered with Africa based company AquaSanTec Ltd which will
be Netxcell’s local partner and allow them to leverage their strong
network in the market. Under the partnership Netxcell and AquaSanTec Ltd
will form a holding company in Mauritius by equity participation which
will be called Netxcell Mauritius Ltd (NML).
The partnership will ensure a quick start for Netxcell in countries like
Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Sudan and Burundi through the
existing presence of AquaSanTec Ltd. Netxcell Mauritius Ltd (NML) which
will have its liaison office in these 7 countries will outsource all the
technology in terms of development, service and support from Netxcell
Limited, Hyderabad . Under the agreement NML will bill the operators in
African market directly and in turn, Netxcell will bill NML for all its
services/technology.
African mobile markets are growing at a fast pace and some countries in
the region are considered to be the fastest growing mobile markets in the
world. VAS services in these regions are aimed at enhancing the lifestyle
of people so there is huge potential for Indian VAS providers to work with
mobile operators in Africa to provide solutions which will help them
capture these new market segments. With its foray in this market through
the partnership, Netxcell is well positioned to tap the huge opportunity
available in the market.

To begin with, Netxcell will help NML which will have its base in Kenya to
deploy a senior sales representative along with a technical expert and
going forward the team will be expanded as per the need and response from
the market.
