P.T.O’ – a book on quotes, phrases and idioms unveiled amidst special dignitaries in Hyderabad

Responsibilities on his young shoulders, Y.Sid Reddy has added yet another milestone to his portfolio with the launch of his first book.

The first time author launched his book today in the presence of eminent academicians, corporate honchos and well wishers who gathered at one of the country’s most prestigious universities to felicitate Sid on his latest project.

Because the book covers a wide spectrum of life’s moments, it was only apt for a man of
multiple credentials like Professor Dr. Seyed E. Hasnain, Vice Chancellor of Hyderabad Central University to grace the occasion as Chief Guest and unveil the book. An accomplished scientist who is regarded very highly in the academic community, Professor Hasnain is a Padmashri Awardee and a member of the Prime Minister’s advisory committee.

‘P.T.O’ offers words of wisdom that allow one to find a balance between idealistic notions of the past and the fast pace life of the present. Sid’s quotes refer to various situations where one can find freshness of the combination of Indian cultural values and new spurring ideals of today’s times without being lost in translation. The book contains various thought provoking quotes on life, love and more. Sid’s book is not like other books which refer philosophically to one of those ‘amidst the busy life one tends to overlook the little priceless details of our life’. It refers to straight out concepts that apply to various dimensions of our everyday life and how they keep life moving.

Talking about P.T.O, Y. Sid Reddy said, “The book is a collection of my thoughts over the

Present on the occasion, the other guests of honour included Mr.Y.Rajeev Reddy - the Chairman and Managing Director of Country Club, Mr. Peter Hassan – The Honorary Consul General for Russia at Hyderabad and Dr. V. Venkat Ramana - Professor and Dean, School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad.

The unveiling was followed by a copy of ‘P.T.O’. being auctioned which fetched a handsome prize of Rs. One lakh twenty thousand (1,20,000 INR). The proceeds were then donated to the CLAP Foundation, an NGO from Hyderabad for their ‘School on Wheels,’ project, which works towards the education of underprivileged children.

At the event, author Y.Sid Reddy also committed all the profits from the sale of P.T.O. to the ‘School on Wheels’ charity.
