Maid servant tricksters held-Recovered Rs 1,50,000 and Fake
Gold Blocks
Hyderabad|India|June'2009: The sleuths of
Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team apprehended two lady tricksters
by name Palap Narasamma and Eatthera Lingamma both native of Verrannagutta
Village, Renjal Mandal, Nizamabad District who joined as maid servants and
later cheated their employers by making them to believe that they are
selling original gold which was unearthed in digging old houses. Recovered
Rs. 1,50,000/- and fake gold biscuits from their possession.
Modus Operandi:
The above accused secured the servant maid jobs in posh localities by
taking confidence of the house owners, making them to believe that they
are working in other houses in surrounding areas. While on their job they
make their house owners believe that they have obtained a treasure trove
in the old house diggings by their husbands and wanted to sell the same to
trusted people. First they show a gold block and give a small piece as
sample to the owners for further verification. As the accused give an
original piece of gold to their house owners, after checking from their
known goldsmith about its purity they satisfies and get prepared for
purchasing the remaining gold block.
As per their capacity they convince and lure their house owners that they
are giving gold block at a cheaper price. As such they walk away with easy
money cheating the house owners by giving them brass block coated with
gold. Later they stop working and leave for their village. After spending
the amounts, they select another area and repeat the same.
Recently the above accused committed these type of offences in Alwal,
wherein they had cheated a land lady to a tune of Rs. 2 lakhs.
They committed several offences in similar fashion in twin cities and
Cyberabad limits i.e. Malkajgiri, Lothkunta, Bollarum, Safilguda,
Bowenpally, Alwal, Tolichowki, Erragadda, L.B.Nagar, etc. So far the above
gang confessed 28 cases and Rs. 20 lakhs amounts is involved.
Police are causing enquiries to identify the complainants for taking
necessary legal action.
In Alwal the aaccused Narasamma had secured a job of maid servant in the
house of one private employee by name Ch.Srinivas Rao who hails from
Karimnagar dist. After two weeks the above accused showed gold blocks to
her employer and stated that it was unearthed from the digging of old
houses at Golconda where her husband was working as labourer. They want to
dispose the same to their employer at a very less price, because he was
the only known person to them in city. Believing their version the
complainant paid Rs. 1, 50,000/- for the gold block to the accused. From
the very next day the accused stopped working at complaint’s house. On
suspicion complainant got checked the gold block with goldsmith and found
it to be fake one.
In a similar manner Narasamma and Lingamma, both cheated another person to
the tune of Rs. 40,000/- and sped away.
Both the accused and Narasamma’s husband Nagaiah are being handed over to
Alwal Police Station for necessary action.
The arrest was made under the supervision of Sri.V.B.Kamalasan Reddy, DCP
Task Force by Sri.V.Shyam Babu, Inspector North Zone Task Force, S.Is Sri,
P.Venkatagiri, G.V.Ramana Goud, Y.Nageshwar Rao, S.Giri Prasad and staff
of North Zone Task Force team.
