We often hear “Mathematics is so boring”, “I am just not good with numbers”, etc. from many students. Maths anxiety / fear of mathematics takes its root right in the foundation years i.e. childhood. Programs like Abacus and BrainGym offered by us at SIP Academy introduce new ways of learning maths and gives the students opportunities to challenge themselves, informs Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director – SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd. The programmes offered by us help the children to get rid of numeric phobia.
The results seen after the students undergo training at our centers are amazing. With our whole brain development programme, one can easily build intelligence in children in the age group of 6 to 12 years. Intelligence is nothing but the ability to gain and apply knowledge and skills. Learning to compute numbers mentally promotes learning ability, in other words, whole brain development. That is what the SIP Abacus and Brain Gym programmes are about. This contest is to evaluate those skills and talents in these children, informed Mr. Dinesh.

Adding further Mr. J. Sampath Kumar, Head - AP Operations, SIP Academy India informed that Abacus and BrainGym are internationally acclaimed programs that are widely popular in many countries like China, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Singapore, UAE and India for the past four years. These are aimed at holistic development of the child’s brain by developing life long skills in a child. Developed by Dr. Paul Dennison of EDU-K of USA, Abacus and Brain Gym program is a system of education that maximizes the potential of the Childs brain. This process develops Kinesthetic (Touch and Feel), Visualization (Observations / retention and recall) and auditory skills (Listening skills) etc. In the initial stages, students use tools such as Abacus for the calculations. (Abacus was said to be a basis for the computer algorithms, when the computer was invented.) And at a later stage, students are able to do calculations mentally without any aid.

SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd. is the Indian arm of the SIP Academy SDN BHD, Malaysia. SIP Academy Malaysia operates in more than 13 countries like UK, South Africa, India, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, UAE, Sri Lanka and Singapore etc. training more than seven lakh children across 1400 centers with 2800 course instructors.
