Hyderabad|India|October'2011: Mr. Gudaas Savankumar, a final year student of M. Tech (Artificial Intelligence) was successful in getting a job offer of 35 lakhs through an on-campus placement. It is the highest salary package ever offered to a student of the University of Hyderabad as on date. Mr. Savankumar has got placed in the R & D department in 'Works Application Co. Ltd, Japan.' The company is a market leader in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and was recently awarded the 'Best Place to Work', beating Google.

Mr. Savankumar will undergo four months of rigorous training at the head office in Tokyo before being moved either to Singapore or will be at Tokyo. Mr. Savankumar gives credit to his teachers and faculty of his department for helping him improve his overall performance in academics and in the interview. Dr. Rajeev Wankar, faculty Placement Coordinator coordinated the on-campus placement for the Department of Computer and Information Sciences.

Mr. Savankumar has done his internship with the R & D department of CMC Ltd. at Hyderabad which also helped him to gain the industry exposure thereby giving him an edge in the interview.
