Virtusa’s Advanced Technology Center inaugurated at Nanakramguda

Corporation (NASDAQ: VRTU), a global IT services company that offers a
broad spectrum of business consulting and outsourcing services, today
announced the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art Advanced Technology
Center (ATC) in Nanakramguda, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, marking an expansion
of its engineering excellence capabilities in India. Virtusa has invested
approximately Rs. 75.30 crores in setting up the new center.
The ATC, whose
inauguration ceremony was lead by Dr. K. Rosaiah,Chief Minister,
Government of Andhra Pradesh, is built on over 6 acres of land, and when
fully built out would provide a 6000 seat capacity. The inauguration
ceremony was also graced by the presence of Sri Komatireddy Venkat Reddy,
Hon’ble Minister for IT, Youth Services & Sports, Communications,
Government of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Srighakolapu Siva Rama Subrahmanyam,
Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC),
Smt. K. Ratna Prabha, IAS, Principal Secretary, Information Technology and
Communications, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Sri B.R. Meena, IAS, Vice
Chairman & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure
Corporation Ltd (APIIC). The ceremony was also attended by Virtusa’s
clients, partners and employees.
Speaking at the
inauguration, Kris Canekeratne, Virtusa’s Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer, said, “India is a key part of our global operations and we are
proud of this milestone in our decade long association with Hyderabad in
addition to our presence in Chennai. Our new Advanced Technology Center
reflects our commitment to Virtusans in India who are part of our One

The Hyderabad campus will
provide diverse technology solutions and service global clients across
many industries, including, banking, financial services, insurance,
telecommunications, technology and healthcare. The center will have
capabilities to service clients’ needs across multiple technologies,
including business process management (BPM), enterprise resource planning
(ERP), enterprise content management (ECM), datawarehousing & business
Intelligence, quality assurance and testing, and application outsourcing.

Virtusa’s environmental
accountability is an integral part of our corporate values and the
effective use of soil, energy, lighting, water, and building management
was a key design mandate for the Advanced Technology Center, with the aim
of LEED certification on completion of all phases. Virtusa has also been
actively involved in supporting the communities it operates in and has
worked with local schools, and universities, provided flood relief and
blood donor campaigns as part of its sustainability initiatives in both
Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
